Q1. Who is Singapore First Aid Training Centre?

Singapore First Aid Training Centre (SFATC) is one of Singapore’s leading first aid training centres and we’ve been providing certification and non-certification training in first aid and CPR since 2000. We are the first and only centre operating under this name and do not have any other representatives or branches in Singapore.

Q4. Who are your instructors?

Our instructors come from various backgrounds including paramedics from the Emergency Ambulance Services and the Singapore Armed Forces, staff nurses as well as Registered Safety Officers for our Occupational First Aid Programmes. These are professionals from the field with a wealth of experience and knowledge to share to make the courses very interesting and as real as they can possibly be.

Q6. Is your training accredited or recognised?

Yes, we are accredited and recognised by the main bodies in Singapore such as the Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Social and Family Development, National First Aid Council, National Resuscitation Council and the American Heart Association.

Q1. When do you conduct your courses?

We conduct courses at any time of the day, 7 days a week. We have scheduled public run courses at our training centre, or if you have your own group to start a course, we can cater to your preferred timing.

Q2. Who will conduct the courses?

Our team of instructors which include those from the training, paramedical, nursing and safety fields will be conducting the courses. These are individuals with tremendous professional and training experience to share with you during the courses.

Q3. Where do you conduct the courses?

We conduct our scheduled public run courses at our training centre, or if you have your own group to start, we can bring our courses to a location of your choice.

Q4. Do you have evening courses?

Yes, we do.

Q5. When should I start booking for the courses?

If you are joining our public run courses, your forms and payment must reach us at least 1 week before the course starts. If you are organising your own group, your forms and payment must reach us at least 3 weeks before the course is scheduled to start. For urgent bookings, call our support staff to check for availability and prevailing conditions.

Q6. You do not have the training that I require. Can you customise your training to cater to what we need?

Yes, tell us your requirements and we can tailor make our courses to cater to your industry’s needs.

Q7. We just need a short talk or workshop or toolbox session on basic lifesaving or safety techniques. Do you have something for us?

Yes, we have conducted many talks and workshops like these and may already have something you require. Otherwise, we can help you with the contents of the talk to make it suitable for you.

Q8. We're organising an event like parent's day gathering and would like our attendees to know more about first aid. Can you hold an awareness talk for us?

Yes, we have conducted many engaging sessions like these for members of the public to help create awareness and interest in first aid and CPR. Do check with us for our availability to conduct this for you.

Q9. We would like to know more about AEDs. Can you do a short talk or demo on AED and show us how it works?

Yes, let us know how you want us to conduct this for you and we will bring our presenters to perform the talk and demonstrate the usage of the AED.

Topic: Spreading Awareness and Continuous Learning

Q1. I have just taken up your course and feel that others can benefit from it. How can I tell others about your courses?

Thank you for spreading the word! Singapore First Aid Training Centre is one of the fastest growing First Aid and Life Support training centres in the region. And we owe much of our growth to the dedication and efforts of people like you who are spreading the word to their friends, families and colleagues. That is why we have created a new program called the “Helping Hands Program”. This program was especially designed  for “Helper Hands” like you who feel that the world needs more dedicated first aiders. The objective of this program is to provide you with the resources that wll help you to tell others about us – and get rewarded if they sign up! Q2. I feel very strongly about first aid, CPR and AED after your course. How can I be kept in the loop on the latest updates?

We’re glad to get you motivated and thank you for your enthusiasm! As a SFATC first aider, you will be automatically added to our update list, so that anytime we have something new, we’ll let you know!

Q3. Do you organise activities for your first aiders?

Yes, we’ll be holding meetings, activities and outings for our first aiders in the future. Look out for it here!

Q4. Our certificates are about to expire. Do we renew it with you?

Topic: Public presentations and road shows

Q1. We are conducting a road show and we would like to have a first aid booth available. Can you set up a booth and display your products and services for our attendees?

Yes, only for sponsored/complimentary booth space. We can also include a public presentation if necessary. Do confirm with us at least 2 months in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements in time.

Q2. Do you conduct public presentations, CME talks or group seminars on a particular topic of our choice?

Yes, do provide us with your requirements at least 1 month prior to the event.

Topic: Medical Product Training

Q1. Can you help us set up an emergency response program for our workplace, school or compound?

Yes, our team of paramedics and nurses can help create, implement and perfect the right emergency response program for you. This may include intense planning, program announcements, drills and exercises, equipment recommendation, training and facilitation and much more. Talk to us today about this.

Q2. We have recently purchased medical products and would like our staff to learn how to use it. Can you come up with a systematic training program to teach our staff how to use and apply these products effectively?

Yes, our team of paramedics and nurses can help create the perfect training program for your medical product. Depending on the type of product and the level of training required, we can create a syllabus which includes technical knowledge, skills practice and scenario based application. Materials such as video training or train-the-trainer kit for continuing internal training can also be produced as part of the training package if required. Talk to us today about this.

Q1. We are a supplier of medical products and now require to mass train our clients using their own medical protocols. Can you cater for this type of training and product implementation?

Yes, we believe our staff will be able to help your clients achieve the best with their products and we thank you for the opportunity to work with you on this. We will try our best to assist in most cases, but we hope you understand that all products or protocols will be evaluated first beforehand. Do call on us with your proposal.

Q1. We would like to purchase an AED. Do you have any models that we can choose from?

We no longer make available the purchases for AEDs but we have the direct supplier contacts. Get in touch with us and we’ll put you through the right people.
