Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is the basic mandatory requirement for ALL healthcare providers. With the inclusion of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), the BCLS + AED Course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to perform CPR and apply the AED in a healthcare setting. Participants will also learn CPR and choking measures for adults, children and infants.
Assessments are conducted using a skill reporter, ensuring the highest level of competency and precision in skills and application. Accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC).

Outline
In ANY healthcare institution, the possibility of a cardiac arrest incident is very real. “Code Blue” emergencies demand the highest level of proficiency from healthcare professionals. The Basic Cardiac Life Support and Automated External Defibrillator Course, or BCLS+AED Course, was designed to achieve this.
The BCLS+AED course incorporates practice standards used in healthcare institutions, which differ from the lay rescuer, primarily with the inclusion of ventilations during resuscitation procedures. The course goes above the basic application of BCLS+AED skills and places a high emphasis on time-sensitivity, team dynamics and high-quality CPR – the key factors that can help drive better outcomes during resuscitation.
The BCLS+AED Course is accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation And First Aid Council and is recognised by the Singapore Medical Council, Singapore Nursing Board and Singapore Dental Council amongst other national agencies.

Classroom format – 1 day
Blended format – 4 hours online/ 4 hours in class
