The CERT First Aider (BFA with CPR & AED) Course meets Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) requirements for Company Emergency Response Teams. The CERT Scheme was expanded to include a broader group of Public and Industrial premises with the amendments to the Fire Safety Act on 14 September 2020. In the updated Fire Safety Act (Chapter 109A), all premises with Fire Safety Managers are required to set up a CERT.
This version is delivered in an interactive classroom format, this course includes topics that cover both trauma and medical emergencies - with a greater emphasis on hands-on practice. Participants are trained and certified on how to perform CPR and use the AED.

Outline
Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) members are entasked to respond during the initial phase of an emergency which underlines that crucial window before the arrival of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) resources. The ability to meet the expectations of competence and proficiency lies predominantly in the foundation training of these personnel. The goal of the CERT First Aider Course is to help achieve this.
Recognised by Singapore Civil Defence Force as a prerequisite for CERT First Aiders, the CERT First Aider course is designed to equip learners with the primary skills and knowledge to respond efficiently to a variety of emergency scenarios, and how to manage them especially during the early stages BEFORE the arrival of SCDF ambulance.
Developed by past SCDF personnel, you’ll have ease of mind knowing that the course has been designed to meet the desired outcomes. The CERT First Aider Course is also available in blended format to help achieve the best results in the shortest time possible.
