Wherever possible, we try our best to give back to the community that has supported us through thick and thin. Our latest collaboration with People’s Association (PA) brought our CPR and AED course to various Community Centres across Singapore!
On September 7th, we kicked off our first event at the West Coast Community Centre, coinciding with the 20th Anniversary of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Participants included families and couples, all eager to engage in the hands-on exercises we provided. Our trainers patiently guided each person through each exercise, answering questions and reassuring nervous participants.
Our mass CPR and AED hands-on lessons were a blast, going by smoothly thanks to our helpful and effective trainers. Despite a few challenges, we were thrilled to see all participants mastering the exercises and successfully passing their practical tests.
We were honoured to have Minister for National Development Mr. Desmond Lee in attendance, who shared his own experiences with CPR in real-life emergencies and emphasised the importance of learning these vital skills.
His encouragement highlighted the significance of taking meaningful steps towards community safety.
Our second session took place on September 28th at the Leng Kee Community Centre, where we welcomed another enthusiastic group of participants eager to learn.
We extend our gratitude to our trainers, including medical trainer Dr. Khadijah, whose expertise in emergency pre-hospital care ensured participants received top-notch guidance and support during their CPR and AED practical exercises.
Mr. Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Ministry of Social and Family Development graced the occasion, welcoming all participants with a warm smile.
He warmly welcomed everyone and stressed the need for more first responders in our communities, encouraging participants to inspire their loved ones to do the same for a safer environment.
At the end of the event, Mr. Chua presented certificates to those who successfully completed the course. We are thrilled to announce a 100% passing rate, with all participants now certified as first responders!
We’re proud to contribute to our community’s preparedness and safety, and we look forward to more opportunities to empower individuals with life-saving CPR and AED skills.
Stay tuned for future events!
